Frenchman's Cap

Frenchman's Cap is a striking quartzite mountain in Tasmania's
SouthWest National Park. It can be seen by travellers of the Lyell
Highway on their way from Derwent Bridge to Queenstown. A good,
albeit wet walk of 25kms, most walkers allow 3-4 days for this trip.
There are two comfortable huts. The first at Lake Vera at the 17km
mark, the second at Lake Tahune at the foot of the mountain.
